You don't need more staff.
You need more coverage.

Every pet resort runs into coverage gaps. It's not a staffing issue — it's a scale issue.

ChatBeacon gives every pet parent instant, accurate answers day or night, even when your team is busy caring for pets, managing check-ins, or helping customers at the front desk. Your AI receptionist handles questions in real time across boarding, grooming, daycare, training, and vaccination requirements, helping families book with confidence instead of calling around.

  • Fully focused on one pet parent at a time

  • Managing check-ins, phone lines, and the front desk

  • Doing their best — but limited by time

  • Unable to address every question in the moment

  • Relying on memory, training, and what's immediately available

Smart coverage - built to scale

A front desk employee can offer helpful guidance based on experience, but answers are often shaped by time constraints, memory, and the need to stay cautious. While the answer may be directionally correct, it typically lacks deeper context around why a service may or may not suit a particular pet.

"My 12-year-old lab has arthritis and hates being left alone. Is boarding a bad idea for him?"

“Older dogs usually do okay, but it really depends on the dog. Some seniors get pretty stressed in a kennel setting. We do have quieter suites, and staff can give meds. Honestly, it might be worth checking with your vet first to see if he's up for it.”

What ChatBeacon will say

ChatBeacon combines complete knowledge of your services, rates, and policies with real-time reasoning to deliver clear, consistent answers. Every recommendation includes the context behind why a service may or may not suit a particular pet, helping families understand their options and book with confidence.

"My 12-year-old lab has arthritis and hates being left alone. Is boarding a bad idea for him?"

“For a senior lab with arthritis, a ground-floor suite is the better choice — no stairs, and room to stretch out on orthopedic bedding. Our staff administers arthritis medication on your schedule at no extra charge, and we can add midday one-on-one time so he isn't alone for long stretches. Dogs with separation anxiety typically settle by the second night. Bring his own bed and a worn t-shirt, and send us your vet's number so we have it on file.”

Smart Responses

Real Questions Pet Parents Ask Every Day

Pet parents have real questions about boarding, grooming, daycare, and training. ChatBeacon answers them instantly using your rates, your policies, and your actual availability.

“My dog gets anxious when I’m away. What does a typical boarding day look like?”

Anxious dogs usually settle once they know the routine, so we keep the day predictable.

A typical day:

  • Morning and evening potty breaks, plus three supervised play or rest blocks in between
  • Meals on your dog’s own schedule, using the food you send from home
  • A quiet suite at night, with bedding and a toy that smells like home

You’ll also get a photo update partway through the stay. Most first-time boarders relax by day two, and our staff will call you if yours needs more time.

“What vaccinations do you require before boarding or daycare?”

ChatBeacon Agent

We ask for proof of a few core vaccines before any boarding, daycare, or grooming visit.

What we need on file:

  • Dogs: rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella, with Bordetella given at least 7 days before arrival
  • Cats: rabies and FVRCP, plus a current flea preventative
  • Records sent straight from your vet, or uploaded to your account before check-in

If a booster is coming due, schedule it about a week ahead so it has time to take effect. We’ll hold your reservation while you get it done.

“My golden retriever sheds constantly. What grooming package should I book?”

For a heavy double coat like a golden’s, a de-shedding package does far more than a standard bath.

Good options:

  • A full de-shed with undercoat rake and high-velocity dry, which pulls out most of the loose coat
  • A bath, brush, and tidy every 6 to 8 weeks to keep shedding manageable in between
  • Nails, ears, and a sanitary trim added on, since long coats mat fastest in those spots

We don’t shave double coats, since that damages the guard hairs and can make shedding worse.

For most goldens, a seasonal de-shed plus regular baths keeps the hair off your floors.

“Do you board cats too, or just dogs?”

Yes, we board cats, and they stay in their own wing well away from the dogs.

What that includes:

  • Multi-level condos with a window perch, in a quiet room dogs never pass through
  • Your cat’s own food and litter, so nothing about the routine has to change
  • Daily one-on-one play or lap time, with medication given at no extra charge

We also board rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets by request. Bring their usual habitat and food, and let us know at booking so we can set up the small-animal room.

ChatBeacon Agent

“How do I know if my dog is a good fit for daycare?”

Most social dogs do great, and we find out with a free half-day evaluation before you commit to anything.

What we look at:

  • How your dog greets other dogs, and whether they can settle down when play gets loud
  • Whether they’re at least four months old, fixed by seven months, and current on vaccines
  • How they handle being handled by staff, both on leash and off

If group play isn’t the right fit, that isn’t a no. Plenty of dogs are happier with a private suite and one-on-one staff time instead.

ChatBeacon Agent

“Can he get a bath before pickup, and do you do any training while he’s boarding?”

Yes to both, and booking them together is the easiest way to do it.

How it works:

  • Add a departure bath and he’s groomed the morning you pick up, so he goes home clean
  • Board-and-train pairs the stay with daily sessions on leash manners, recall, and house rules
  • You get a written progress note and a short handoff lesson so the training sticks at home

Departure baths fill up fastest on Fridays and Sundays, so add it when you reserve the stay.

Board-and-train needs at least a five-night stay for the sessions to add up to anything.
